Editor’s Note

The editors of Social Studies Research and Practice are pleased to offer the Winter 2014 issue for publication.  Each previous issue of SSRP has included a variety of articles of interest to social studies professional of all levels, and this issue is no exception.  In addition to research focused on teacher education, this issue offers practical classroom applications and exemplary social studies lesson ideas.

Please encourage your colleagues to submit their research and lesson plans, as in-service and pre-service teachers continue to use the journal to further their knowledge and teaching of social studies.  The editors remain committed to working with novice researchers and classroom teachers, as we value to contributions of all of you.  As always, we welcome your comments and concerns.
