Paulette Patterson Dilworth is Assistant Professor and Co-Director of Project TEAM in the School of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University- Bloomington. She teaches social studies and curriculum studies. Her writing and research focuses on multicultural content integration in the secondary social studies curriculum, 19th and 20th century conceptions of citizenship and civic education for African Americans, and issues of access and equity in curriculum and instruction in rural and urban education contexts, and multicultural teacher education. Dr. Dilworth sits on the Board of Directors of the College and University Faculty Assembly (CUFA) a scholarly association within the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) where she is serving as co-editor of the CUFA Newsletter. She serves on the editorial board for Theory and Research in Social Education. She is the 2005 recipient of the NCSS Exemplary Research in Social Studies Award.
