NOTABLE TRADE BOOKS ~ Section Editor’s Notes

This issue contains three delightfully different children’s books with unique strategies to use to teach these to your class. My Roles and Tiles of Coins takes us to Africa to learn an economic lesson appropriate for children in any country. Let It Begin Here! Lexington and Concord: First Battles of the American Revolution is primarily for young people in middle and high school, but could be adapted for use with any class learning about the American Revolution. The activities are adaptable to many ages. A Little Peace is a thematic book structured around the concept of peace. Readers, especially the young children for whom this book is designed, are encouraged to consider how peace looks and feels. I hope you enjoy these three very different books.
